Jonathan is an accoomplished athlete, photographer, dad, cybersecurity expert and founder of two businesses, JM Addington Technology Solutions (2010) and CyberSecureRIA (2022).

A graduate of Bethel University in St. Paul, MN, double-majoring in Finance and Economics, and Philosophy, he tooks those skills to start a new business in 2010.

A father of eight, it’s fair to say he stays pretty busy all the time. He and his wife Katie fostered children in Knox County before adopting three through DCS.

He founded JM Addington Technology Solutions in 2010 to help secure Knoxville businesses. At the time — and currently — cybersecurity is a difficult field for small to mid-sized businesses and it can be un-affordable for many organizations. JM Addington changes that so businesses can get both the support and the security that they deserve.

An expert on the SEC cybersecurity rules, Jonathan developed custom reports and products inside CyberSecureRIA to keep RIAs inside the SEC guidelines — and let them sleep at night.

Besides cybersecurity, Jonathan’s passions are running, especially in The Great Smoky Mountains, photography and of course, his family.

Jonathan has completed multiple marathons, ultramarathons, and holds two Tennessee State USATF records. Running now runs in the family, together the Addington family holds 19 Tennessee State records (That’s not a typo), with both children and Katie completing half marathons, marathons and ultras.
