I’ve spent a lot of time running around Farragut, TN on long runs. I’ve found with a little planning you can get to bathrooms and water at multiple places on your route, here is a sample route. (15 miles). It takes you by:
- Founder’s Park
- Anchor Park
- McFee Park
- Bob Leonard Park
- Founder’s Park
- Not mapper: Starbucks, Kroger, Planet Fitness, Weigel’s, Walgreens
Each of these parks has water and bathrooms, although the water is turned off in the fall. Bathrooms are usually open, sometimes closed in the evening. There is a Casey’s roughly halfway through. If you want, you can cut through neighborhoods between Kingston Pike and Turkey Creek Road (pink line).
You can take Turkey Creek Road all the way the McFee, but the last curve is super dangerous. The path shown above and in detail below cuts through residential areas with a small greenway connecting them to save you from becoming a pancake.
This is an alternate route that is a little shorter and will take you past multiple gas stations and Walgreens on the back half. (12 miles)
This is a file mile loop that you can repeat easily, with water and bathrooms at the start and stop. Or start at Weigel’s or Walgreens on the corner of Kingston Pike and North Cambell Station to have whatever you want. This isn’t my favorite loop, it’s loud and there is a lot of traffic. But, it is convenient. (5-6 miles)
These routes also connect to the Concord Trail System, although most maps don’t show it yet.
