This is the course used by the Knoxville Marathon since at least 2019. Of course, it is subject to change, but it hasn’t yet.
You can safely run most of this course on your own (be smart, you are still running on public streets), most of it has sidewalks or is on a greenway. This is the pretty part of the marathon, taking you by Neyland Stadium, through Sequoyah Hills and the Third Creek Greenway.
You can find official maps at https://knoxvillemarathon.com/course-maps/, but no GPX downloads.
Race Weekend Notes
There is a kids race one-mile race on Saturday as well as a 5k.
I think the best parking is at the 11th Street Parking Garage, where there has always been room, it is maybe half a mile from the starting line.
In the past Eddy’s Health Shop has sponsored a clothing drop point about a mile or two in, so if you want to start warmer and drop clothes — and not lose them — that has been an option in the past.
