For trail runners there is a significant trail system in 4 parts in Concord/Farragut. A lot of people know about them, but not as many know that all four are connected. Here are the four main parts circled in yellow, with connectors in red:
Bonus: there is water and bathrooms in multiple places. Also, there are far more trails at the Ballfield Parks than what is shown above.
From lower left to top right the connectors are:
- Leaving the ballfield parks you will go under the bridge and come up on the southeast side of it. From there, run across the fishing bridge to Calloway Ridge.
- On the northeast side of Calloway Ridge there is an unmarked spur that will take you under the bridge to Rocky Point Park. From here you can cross the bridge to get to Concord Park. Careful, that bridge is NOT pedestrian friendly:
Finally, you can exit Concord Park on the northeast side to get to the trails by the dog park.
These trails connect to the rest of Farragut by greenway and sidewalk, but most maps don’t show it yet.
